Facilities TaskForce Assistance: The Presidential Facilities Taskforce team has created an association assistance program explained in the attached letter. Each of the taskforce members is assigned to associations to assist in obtaining facilities. Youth Program TownHall Info Sessions: The USATF Outreach & Grassroots Department is hosting a youth-oriented Town Hall Meeting on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 7:30pmEST. All Association Presidents and Youth Chairs are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting and take advantage of the opportunity to be briefed on all matters of national interest within the youth area. These meetings will be scheduled monthly to ensure that you are kept informed on all programs and events from within the USATF National Office. The meetings will be scheduled on the 11th day of each month unless that day falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday at which time it will be scheduled for the next weekday. To obtain joining instructions for the Monday, 13 May TownHall, contact shontee.bryant@usatf.org Important Update: Group Exemption Transition to Standalone Non-Profit Organization We are in the final phase of the Group Exemption transition to a standalone 501c3 Non-Profit Organization for all USATF Associations. As part of this transition, please note the following key dates and actions: Dec 1, 2022: Notification of the Project - Announced at the 2022 USATF Annual Meeting. May 1, 2023: Complete the Association Questionnaire for USATF National Office/Associations/Accreditation to identify support needed. Jun 30, 2023: Associations provide an update to the National Office and AEC. Aug 31, 2023: National Office will file under the Group Exemption for the final time. Nov 1, 2023: Target date for all Associations to file for their own 501c3 Non-Profit organization. Dec 1, 2023: Associations provide an update to the National Office and AEC. Dec 31, 2023: Due date for Associations to file and request reimbursement from the USATF National Office. May 31, 2024: ALL ASSOCIATIONS complete the form and upload their approval letter Please be aware that all Presidents will receive an email containing a link to a form where all the non-profit approvals will be accessible by the National Finance Team, AEC, and Accreditation. We understand that some of you may have previously submitted emails to the National Office, AEC, or Accreditation or received approval by the IRS before this project. However, we kindly request that all 56 Associations complete this process. Presidents, you have the authority to delegate this task to anyone you deem appropriate within your Association. Again, this is due by 5/31/2024. If your status is pending please note that on the form. Once you receive an approval letter in the future please come back to the form and update your status. Journey To Gold Youth Scholarships Available: USATF offers the Journey to Gold Scholarships in the amount of $5,000.00 to be awarded to High School Seniors who have committed to a college or university with the overall goal focused on achieving gold in their academic and professional life.
